Work is now in hand on several significant enhancements to SuperBeam. These are expected to be as follows: Handling of beams extended as cantilevers at both ends, not just beyond R2 (already in ProSteel 5.33) The ability to add an additional load at each steel beam bearing - use e.g. where two beams share the same bearing Support for glulam beam design and checking Updated flitch beam calculations as per latest TRADA methodology [possible] Timber beam bearing design (as for steel beams)

As ever, this is not to be taken as a firm promise that all these will be in the next shipping version, and as to time, it will ship when ready.

To add to the last, the current plan wrt Glulam beams is to allow the following options:
Member width: user-entered or pickable from a drop-down list, 65mm, 90mm, 115mm etc Grade: C16 or C24 (will usually be the latter) Number of laminations Lamination thickness

The timber calculation is as in current versions with the addition of the relevant K values.

If you see any problems with this please shout now.
