Mouse pointer text messages

How do I get rid of the text boxes that keep appearing attached to the mouse pointer?

In earlier releases you could turn off these hints but we removed the option to do so in the latest versions as I presumed (wrongly in your case) that virtually everyone would find them helpful. I won't promise to reinstate the option to turn them off but have noted your comment.

Thanks for the speedy reply, I thought I had turned them off previously, its not just my age! I the early years they were v. helpful but now less so. Thanks for a great program.
