We have both SuperBeam and ProSteel. Having edited the Standard Load Name in SuperBeam in-line with our requirements, how can you transfer these to ProSteel without having to type them again.
Also how do you transfer the Standard Load Names and other settings i.e page settings, fonts etc to another PC or as back-up?

Taking the second question first, settings, headings, colours etc are stored in two INI files - if you select Configuration > Information, the report will show you the names and locations of these files.
There is no easy way of copying standard load data from SuperBeam to ProSteel or vice versa. If you consider yourself to be computer literate you can load the user settings file into a text editor such as Notepad. Then find the [SuperBeam 4] or [ProSteel 5] section. Copy the entries that read LoadDesc 1=data to LoadDesc 20=data then paste them into the INI file section for the other program. Backup the file before editing it.

Thanks. I have edited the .ini. as per advise and seems to have worked. As for transfer to othe pc, you mention two files; one being SDA_Apps.ini; which is the other one?

Apologies for the delayed reply: both files (if two) are named SDA_Apps.ini. Depending on the installation they may be combined in one. Selecting Configuration > Information will tell you the file names and locations
