A long-standing error in SuperBeam and ProSteel has just surfaced. It is not likely to affect most users, and results in the member being overdesigned.
If you select a channel section as a column and apply a load on the flange side of the web (i.e. load position '4' causing bending about the minor axis) the resulting lever arm is miscalculated (too high) and thus the calculated moment is too large. No other calculations are affected.
This will be fixed in SuperBeam 4.52f which we will hope to make available during the coming week.
