Hi Tony,
Its good to read that you are proposing a beam splice design and detail. I assume this will be the web and flange plate type. Can it also include end plate to end plate beam connection detail.
But I also find this detail useful when two beams are sharing a 100mm bearing (wall or steel column). The heavy beam with end plate sits on the bearing and the lighter loaded beam with end plate is bolted to the face of the heavy beam. Is this something that can be added?

Regards,
Steve

The beam splice checking is almost ready for release. It offers flange plate and end plate options; you can have one or two splices on the beam, but they must be identical (a question of keeping things manageably simple).

As to your other request, if I understand it correctly you can do this already: the connection is designed as normal and on the main beam you have a B/F point load at one end - which will feed into the reaction and thus the bearing calculation.
