I have always printed blank headers so as to incorporate beam layout drawings and detail drawings of beam connections, for example. I simply overprint the headed page with a jpg, or photocopy.

However this is not workable with pdfs unless a diagram can be inserted onto a SB4 page. This would be a really useul feature for me as I now email many of my calculations by pdf.

I wonder how many other users would find this a useful benefit?
Is it already possible to do this? If not, is this something that you might consider for SB4?

Cheers

Apologies for the delayed response. What you want to do is probably possible using the OLE Page option. The options available to you will depend on what programs are installed on your system.

As an example, on my system I have TurboCAD installed and have a previously saved construction detail. So in ProSteel I select Project, Add OLE page, then 'Create from file', select the TurboCAD file, check 'Link' (this links back to the original file rather than importing it), then OK. The CAD drawing then appears as another item window in my project - various options determine the scaling and whether or not the heading is printed. You can do the same for one-page Word documents etc.
