It would be useful to be add a general note to the project summary (and not necessarily to all the other calculation pages) - particularly to remind builders who use the summary sheet that lengths of members given relate to SPAN not OVERALL length of member.
As far as I can see, I can't do this from 'configuration'?

One of the options that has been suggested in the past is to be able to add the physical length and number of members, which would feed into a schedule (same concept as the project summary). Something on the lines of

Beam 1 : 203 x 133 x 30 UB 4.65m 1 of
Beam 2: 203 x 203 x 46 UC 3.82m 1 of
Rear floor joists: 47 x 170 SC3 3.6m 12 of

Against this, before SuperBeam became a commercial product I spent several years designing loft conversions and one of the standard notes on my plans always said something like actual length of all beams to be checked on site before ordering. Apart from anything else, I was not infrequently doing the site survey in a loft that was full of clutter so measuring to the last cm was not guaranteed.

For this reason, on non new-build jobs I would prefer not to state the actual lengths as, notes notwithstanding, they would probably be taken as 100% accurate, but if something on the above lines was added in as an option no one would have to use it.

No promises, but I will keep the suggestion in mind - one reason for encouraging people to post their ideas and requests here is so that they don't get forgotten! It also gives other users their chance to comment.
