Connection Issue

When 3 or more bolts pairs are specified they are placed vertically in the web, not horizontally.

Am I doing something wrong or is that the intended action?

Re: EC5 Shear Strength / C24 / Strange Behaviour

S275 / S355 Steel Availability in UK

I've just come of the phone from TATA.

I'm advised that S275 steel (UB/UC) is on its last legs.

And, that S355 is the way forward.

I'd welcome any comments on that.

Re: Copy Active Window To Clip Board In JPG format

Thanks - CaptureWizPro is obviously much more powerful than the Windows Snipping Tool I have been using.

But, unless I've missed something, it doesn't quite do what I'm after.

What I want to do...

Timber Post Loading

Maybe I'm missing something, but it seems that when a timber post is subjected to a B/F load, its always treated as Axial - as opposed to be applied at, for example, Position 1.

and this result

(b) R1=R2=1.0*(3.6+5.4-1.8)=3.6
