Unhappy Online update not working

Check for updates returns the message:
"Could not connect to www.superbeam.co.uk. You may need to change your firewall settings".
However I can browse to the website using Internet Explorer without issue and the activation key does not need changing yet.
This happens with the firewall off.
Even put into I.E trusted sites.
Unfortunately this is the first update we've tried.
Does it use standard ports (i.e. 8080)?
Oddly the manual update option is greyed out.
