Default Multiple steel splices

Hello all
Is there any way of doing multiple splice connections to a steel beam?
I mean more than two.
Recently I had an 8.8m beam coming out at 406x178x74 UB and ProSteel only seems to let me do splices at 1/3rd spans (two splices).
The builder I've done the plans for says he will be splicing the beam at approx 1.0m cts, to make it easier for the lads on site to lift.
He has sent me a calc sheet by his previous bloke using Tekla that apparently approved a beam with eleven splices!
Thanks

Yes, you are limited to two splices but they don't have to be at mid-thirds - you specify the splice positions from R1 (note that this won't be the physical end of the member - adjust as necessary).

As to a beam with eleven! splices, I would have thought the fabrication costs would be a killer?
