Default member fails in bending and slenderness

Hi I am new to this forum and also no expert in structural engineering, please forgive my ignorance. I have been trying to check some calculations with superbeam and everything seems to work okay apart from I keep getting a "FAIL" & "member fails in bending and slenderness". Can someone please help me.

With respect, if this is the error message, it's nowhere near OK. We do emphasise repeatedly that our software is intended for those who have a sound knowledge of the underlying engineering principles and is not a substitute for this. If you're working on an actual project then I would advise you to consult a local engineer and get professional advice.

If you're interested in improving your structural knowledge, you can find lists of recommended books at http://www.superbeam.co.uk/booklist.htm and http://www.eurobeam.co.uk/eurobooks.htm

Hi Yes I appreciate your comments and I can only wish that when I was born that I would have been able to do the things that I can do now but I had to learn and found in life that reading a book to learn to swim doesn't actually give the experience of being in the water.
