Default Own Weight not shown to end of cantilever

Just inputted into EuroBeam a 6.052m long beam with a load suspended from a point at 7.552 metres by using the 'B/F load' button, however the o.w. shows as 'L' instead of at 7.552 from R1 as it would in Prosteel.

Is this a fault?

Cheers

Wink Re: Own Weight not shown to end of cantilever

Goodness, two come along at once, like buses...

Selecting columns via the 'Bring Forward' routine to add the beam loads, and all is well, however try and select shallowest section instead of lightest, and nothing happens.

Manually check a smaller/thicker walled SHS section and it accepts it happily, and displays a stress ratio less than one

Is that another glitch?

Cheers

(hoping there isn't a third bus)

Release 1.40a, now available via the Miscellanous, Check Website for Updates option, fixes this bug. Thanks again for the heads up.

Default Re: Own Weight not shown to end of cantilever

with regard to the first point change the U to R and the length 0 to end of cantilever that will get the UDL full length not just between supports

I always consider things like this ways of making sure I read whats going on and not just rely on the software giving the correct answer
