Default Web-bearing query

I have downloaded the demo version of Pro-steel and am using it to aid with my engineering studdies. It looks like a fantastic software but i have one issue: Upon entering the external loads, the software dosn't appear to produce the minimum required stiff-bearing length (b1) - it just displays zero. Also it is showing the bearing capacity as 63kn on a 305x165x40 section and dosn't show what bearing length this is calculated on.

I Would be garteful for some clarification.

Thankyou in advance.

Default Re: Web-bearing query

The stiff bearing length figure is the minimum bearing required if web stiffeners are not provided. A figure of 0 means that web stiffeners are not required.
